The Arkansas Valley Dressage Association offers schooling shows, clinics, seminars and educational opportunities for riders and horses of all levels and breeds. Some of the events are non-sponsored AVDA events. If there is a clinic, show, festival or seminar or any equine-related event, please email email@example.com and we’ll get it in the In and Around the Arena.
The Arkansas Valley Dressage Association meets once a month 6 p.m on Sundays. Locations vary per month based on member recommendations. The meetings sometimes include featured presentations from local veterinarians, farriers, trainers, other members or anything pertaining to the sport of dressage.

Sarah Martin Dressage Clinic (A non-RMDS-sponsored event)
October 19-20, 2019, location TBD, weather-dependent.
Dressage trainer Sarah Martin will provide two sets of group ground work session in the morning. The ground work is methodology for Complementary Horsemanship and consists of the blocks/exercises to relax and focus the horse. The group ground work will run about an hour and a half to two hours with discussion throughout. In the afternoon, participants will ride in groups of two for one hour each.
Cost is $125 per day per horse and rider.
Handouts will be provided for both auditors and riders.

AVDA Riverwalk Schooling Show Series 2019

8 a.m. start time, Pathfinder Regional Park, Florence, Colo.
The Arkansas Valley Dressage Association’s Riverwalk Schooling Series offers horses and riders an opportunity to learn their tests, practice for the show ring, experience a horse show, introduces riders and horses to the show ring and provides a platform for a fun, relaxing, educational horse show experience. The shows are open to all dressage divisions, including Western Dressage, eventing and prix caprilli tests.
